Every picture tells a story and I am happy to give information on how a painting evolves from initial concept to completion, this can be rather complex particularly on Commissioned work.

The Human Face, A much rendered and the most demanding of all subjects, in an ever increasing range of media and substrates.

Commisioned

Whilst most of my collaborations in this field have been in the form of interpretive portraiture, I have often been asked to put my imagination to work on such diverse subjects as family groups, cars, boats, album sleeves for rock bands to brass bands, bathrooms, horses, interiors and exteriors.

Landscape

Throughout history travel has always inspired, I am no exception. I seem to see more and am more receptive to the unfamiliar.

In a variety of media, some of the techniques used on the substrates have been aged giving a direct contradiction to the well toned gymnasium bodies of the present day.
